Designed for children ages three and up, the three Cheese Stack games is a fun way for preschoolers to develop hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, learn about balance and practice cooperation by stacking rippled cheese wedge shaped game pieces.
In the title track game Cheese Stack, players take turns stacking as many cheese pieces as they can on top of the Pip or Squeak mouse piece. In Oops-a-Cheesy players stack cheese wedges on top of one mouse and then place the other mouse on the stack. The challenge is to turn the stack over without losing the cheese. And in the Arch Rivals variation, all players work together to make a giant cheese arch between Pip and Squeak.
One of our veteran preschool teacher-testers reported and applauded the following: "the children encouraged each other when stacking the cheese; one of our four-year-olds laughed (with great pride) each time she balanced another piece of cheese on her mouse, successfully stacking 13 pieces without toppling the stack. One six years old discovered how he could stabilize the base by putting both mice pieces next to each other."
